Transformation properties of quark condensate under the color group
Description
Assuming that the group SU(3)/Z3 is the exact symmetry group of quark chromodynamics, it is possible to introduce vacuum condensate states of quarks and gluons which transform as octets under the color group of transformations. The pseudoscalar nature of the quark-antiquark pair results in the existence of an additional pseudovector gauge field whose topological properties guarantee quark confinement
