Mathematical interpretation of the problem of optimal dose field formation in an injury focus in case of interstitial radiotherapy is given. Various solutions of the above problem are considered. The necessity of development of effective algorithms and computerized mathematics application programs in case of radiotherapy of malignant tumors is pointed out
