Properties of flux phases in the t-J model
Description
A brief review is given of the properties of flux phases. Particular attention is paid to the existence of orbital currents away from half-filling. Such currents can be suppressed at certain fillings by introducing a factor which depends on the hole configurations and attaches flux tubes with two flux quanta to the holes. The resulting wavefunctions have chiral spin order but no orbital currents. (orig.)
