Energy migration within BODIPY dimer studied by single molecule spectroscopy

  • 1. Center for Molecular Science, Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing 100080 (China)

Description

Single molecule properties of a synthesized dipyrrometheneboron difluoride (BODIPY) dimer are investigated by means of time-resolved fluorescence confocal microscopy. The correlation among the fluorescence, fluorescence lifetime and fluorescence polarization of BODIPY dimer recorded in time exhibits the capability of single molecule techniques to determine the bimolecular interaction between two identical chromophores
