New Isomers 128mLa and 130mLa

  • 1. Joint Institute for Nuclear Research, Dubna (Russia)

Description

After the discovery of the high-lying isomeric state in the 130Ba nucleus, two new short-lived activities were found. The aim of the present work was to determine the transition energies, half-lives, and identification of the observed new activities.

The experimental technique is pulsed irradiation and measurement of two spectra in specified intervals between cyclotron pulses. Unlike this technique, in these experiments the half-life was measured on a two-dimensional analyzer in the amplitude analysis mode in successive time intervals, the gamma spectrum of the 128mLa isomer was measured on a germanium detector.
