Equipment match plateout and activity measurements at Three Mile Island
Description
Prior to decontamination and personnel entry into the TMI Unit 2 containment, the radiation sources must be defined. As part of this effort, a series of dose rate and photon spectrum measurements were made outside the equipment hatch. These measurements were analyzed to provide a preliminary estimate of the magnitude and isotopic distribution of plateout activity on the 305 elevation. The upper and lower bound estimates of this activity are presented
