Scope of computed tomography scan in diagnosis of central cancer of lung

To evaluate the efficiency of application of X-ray computerized tomography (CT) in case of determining the spreading of lung central cancer in 87 patients, the data are studied of conventional radiographic investigation of thoratic cavity organs (including X-radioscopy, two projections biomedical radiography, linear tomography), CT, fibrobronchoscopy and ultrasonography of thoracic cavity. Potentialities of CT in the diagnosis of tumor bronchus infiltration, identification of tumor invasion of mediastinum and pleura, assessment of the state of intrathoracic lymph nodes. It is shown that the method potentialities permit to specify the causes, spreading, macrostructural changes. Applying CT to the diagnosis of lung cancer is prospective in initial disease patterns. CT data of identification of lung central cancer permit to determine not only its form but also process spreading, that makes it possible to choose correctly the tactics and to realize the further treatment control
