Phase transition into the metallic state in hypothetical (without molecules) dense atomic hydrogen

Description
A simple physical model of the metal-dielectric (vapor-liquid) phase transition in hypothetical (without molecules) atomic hydrogen is proposed. The reason for such a transition is the quantum collective cohesive energy occurring due to quantum electron-electron exchange similar to the cohesive energy in the liquid-metal phase of alkali metals. It is found that the critical parameters of the transition are Pc ∼ 41000 atm, ρc ∼ 0.1 g/cm3, and Tc ∼ 9750 K
