Determination of deuterium in water by a thermometric method
Creators

Description
A simple and rapid method for the determination of deuterium in water has been developed. The method is based on the change of the thermal effect of the solubility of sodium sulphate in the presence of D2O. The procedure is based on the measurement of the temperature of phase transition Na2SO4 . 10 H2O reversible Na2SO4 + 10 H2O. The sensitivity of the method proposed is comparable with mass spectrometry. (author)
