Results of fission product and actinide studies in coated fuel particles and matrix graphite

  • 1. Kernforschungsanlage Juelich G.m.b.H. (Germany, F.R.)

Description

The results are presented of experiments to measure the diffusion coefficients for silver, caesium and strontium in oxide kernels and coating layers of coated fuel particles for HTGRs. For caesium in BISO-coated particles numerical calculations have been performed to check for the applicability of laboratory data to in-pile conditions. Caesium diffusion in matrix graphite A3 and the actinide production in HTGR fuel elements have been studied experimentally. (U.K.)
