The magnet coils for the Joint European Torus
Description
Industry initially accumulated experience in the fusion sector in building equipment, which had been designed and developed by the laboratories associated with the fusion program. In the meantime, however, industry in this way has acquired special skills and know-how specific to fusion, which allow it to meet the stringent requirements of fusion equipment of the next generation by their own development efforts in close cooperation with research institutions. One example, outlined in this contribution, are the specifications of the magnets for the JET experiment, which must satisfy extremely high quality requirements. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
(orig.)Additional details
