On gauge invariant chiral theories on a lattice
Description
Gauge invariant formulations of chiral theories on a lattice are discussed: models with the Wilson-Yukawa coupling, with mirror fermions, and also their variants without fundamental scalar fields. We argue that all the models without mirror fermions that are reducible to those bilinear in fermion variables are potentially nonunitary. The Nambu-Jona-Lasinio mechanism in a mirror fermion model is briefly discussed.(orig.)
