Description

It is shown that vacuum stability determines the Cabibbo angle theta/subC/. From a simple example we obtain tan2theta/subC/approx. = f/sub pi/μ/sub pi/2/ f/subK/μ/subK/2 and a nonelectromagnetic ΔI = 1 interaction. The effect of charm is included. We also discuss the superweak model of CP violation as an isotopic rotation through an angle theta/subC//subP/
