Behaviour of tungsten (6) on mercury dropping electrode in hydrochloric acid solutions
Description
The polarographic behaviour of tungsten (6) in 0.005-10 M solutions of hydrochloric acid has been studied. It has been shown that tungsten (6) in hydrochloric acid solutions is reduced in two stages W(6) → W(5) → W(3). The first wave of tungsten (6) reduction on a mercury drop electrode is of a mixed character. The second wave of tungsten reduction is of a diffusion-controlled character with a partial contributions from the kinetic processes
