Stable spark gaps for the voltage upto 20 kV with small operating time
Description
The design and characteristics of three types of charge gaps are described for the use in the synchronization systems of fast-response cable oscillators generating nanosecond pulses when carrying out measurements at generators of relativistic electron beams. The spark gaps operate under a nitrogen pressure of 5 to 10 atm and permit to shape rectangular pulses of 5 to 10 kV amplitudes with the edge duration of about 1 ns, delay time of 5 to 20 ns and instability of 1 to 2 ns
