Study on B-(1235)-meson production in the π-p → B-p reaction at 4.55 GeV/c

Description
Study of B--meson production is carried out. Diffraction B-(1235) meson production in π-p → π0π-π-π+p (1) reaction at 4.5 GeV/c momentum bombarding π--mesons has been investigated by means of the 2 meter liquid-hydrogen chamber of the ITEP. The π-p → B-p, B- → ω0π-, ω0 → π0π+π- channel (2) was selected from the reaction (1) to study diffraction process with intermediate decay. Cross section and polarized moments are determined, the problem on helicity conservation is considered. The conclusion is made that in case of the reaction (2), when natural resonance formation occurs and the processes responsible for kinematic features in spectra are absent, helicity is not well conserved
