The cost of not doing maintenance: a cautionary tale from Bruce A
Creators
Description
Any utility thinking of saving money in these recessionary times by skimping on nuclear plant maintenance would do well to look at the case of Bruce A in Canada. Plant performance and staff morale fell rapidly and markedly as a result of O and M budget cuts. Huge expenditures are now needed to clear the maintenance backlog. (author)
