Measurement of airborne dispersing ratio of 60Co and 192Ir metals
Description
The airborne dispersing ratios of 60Co and 192Ir metals were measured in model experiments, that simulated the conditions of actual operations to manufacture sealed radioactive sources of metal pellets. The airborne dispersing ratio of 60Co was determined to be less than 1.6 x 10-8, and that of 192Ir less than 8.0 x 10-10. The size and distribution of the airborne dispersed particles were also estimated. (author)
