Description

After completing a thesis on neutralizing antibodies and serum facilitating factors in human immunodeficiency virus infections, the author studied: the effect of gamma irradiation on macrophage monocytes (ART 13, ART 15, PO14, AF 22); interactions between HIV-infected cells and the extracellular matrix (ART 20, PO15, PO 21, AF 14, AF 17, AF 18); maternal-fetal transmission of HIV; interactions between HIV and B lymphocytes (ART 9, ART 10, ART 17, ART 18, PO 7, PO10, AF 13, AF 16, AF 19, AF 20); expression of glutamate transporters by macrophages. He then details his research project on the pathophysiology of central nervous system damage in HIV infections: the roles of astrocytes and microglial cells. (author)
