Chemical models of chains electron transfer in hydroxylating ferment systems

  • 1. AN Belorusskoj SSR, Minsk. Inst. Bioorganicheskoj Khimii

Description

The rate constants are measured of consumption of nicotineamidedinucleotide (NAD-N) during its oxidation by molecular oxygen with the participation of Ti4+, Sn4+, Cu2+, Fe3+, VO2+, and Ce4+ ions in mixtures of acetonitrile with water and of dioxane with water taken in a volume ratio of 1:1 (46 deg C). The kinetics of oxidation of NAD-N with the participation of Ti4+ at 37 deg C in a water-acetonitrile medium is studied in detail. The hydroxylating capacity of the system NAD-N - Ti4+ - O2 with respect to naphthalene is proved. The reaction mechanism and its relationship with the microsomal chains of electron transport are discussed
