Description

Development work carried out at the Risley Engineering and Materials Laboratory on two types of gripper drive for use in the fuel handling system of the Prototype Fast Reactor is described. A brief description is given of the features of the fuel machine together with the principal test procedures, equipment and results of the experimental programme. (author)
