Computed tomographic angiography of the abdominal tumors

For the evaluation of the diagnostic ability of Computed Tomographic Angiography (CT angio.), CT angio. was performed on 34 abdominal tumors (21 hepatic tumors, 5 pancreatic tumors and 8 renal tumors). The scan of CT angio. was started at 20 sec. after the beginning of the intravenous bolus injection of the contrast material. The contrast media (1 ml/kg x weight) was injected at the rate of 10 ml/sec. On CT angio., tumor vascularity could be detected by the alteration of the CT value of the tumor and tumor extent got clearer than plain CT and CE-CT. (author)
