Study on the systematic track distortions in the Mirabelle bubble chamber

Description

Dependence of systematic track distortions in the Mirabelle bubble chamber on expansion and photographing regimes has been investigated. Given are the results of treating three tests, obtained during the Mirabelle chamber exposure to K+ beam for various Tsub(1) and Tsub(2), where Tsub(1) is delay time of working liquid pressure minimum in relation to beam coming into the chamber, Tsub(2) is photographing delay in relation to beam coming. The results obtained permit to evaluate qualitatively an effect of primary track distortions on the event reconstruction. Suggested is a method of correcting the primary distortions of fast tracks, the main conception of which is the usage of profiles of beam tracks, obtained with fixing a pulse. Using the method of correcting the primary distortions of fast tracks is most effective when reconstructing beam tracks
