Burnout in steam-generating channels with porous coatings

Description

A formulation is presented for experimental study of the effect of porous coatings on the conditions for which burnout arises during motion of a pumped coolant. Designs of open-quotes annular slitclose quotes and open-quotes cylindrical channelclose quotes steam-generating channels, characteristics of porous coatings, and experimental methodology are described briefly. Results of investigations of critical thermal fluxes in these channels are discussed for mass flow rates of 500-2500 kg/(m2xsec) and pressures of 6.9-17.6 MPa
