Power distribution monitor for nuclear power plant

Description

Purpose: To enable continuous monitoring for the changes with time of local power of a nuclear power plant. Constitution: Neutron detectors are arranged in plurality of upper and lower stages so as to surround the fuel assembly. Output signals from neutron detector groups in each of the stages are input to an operator by way of amplifiers respectively, multiplied with respective predetermined coefficients to weigh the values calculated, thereafter, added and averaged thus to obtain relative output signals on every fuel segments. The relative output signals are further delivered to an operator and converted into absolute output signals and indicated by a group of indicators. The power distribution can thus be monitored continuously. (Furukawa, Y.)
