Description

A variety of the chemical properties of f-elements is determined by their electron structure. It is very difficult to estimate the properties of complex compounds of the actinide or lanthanide elements ab initio under the present conditions of computing technique. An attempt was made to solve the problem half-empirically and then to compare the calculation results with the physicochemical and X-ray photo-electron data. (author)
