The combined effect of irradiation and chlorpyrifos on the cotton leaf worm spodoptera littoralis (BOISD.)
Description
The combined treatment of L D10 chlorpyrifos and radiation had no deleterious effects on adult emergence, adult longevity or number of spermatophores per mated female, whereas it caused considerable reduction in both fecundity and egg hatchability as compared with the effect of radiation alone. Treating larvae with L D10 insecticide or irradiating their male pupae (each treatment separately) did not affect the percentage of mated females, while combining both treatment on females slightly decreased this percentage.3 tab
