Description

KTeV is a new fixed target experiment at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. KTeV consists of two distinct experiments, E832 which is designed to measure the direct CP violation parameter ε'/ε to one part in 10-4, and E799-II a rare kaon decay program with a single event sensitivity for KL→π0 e+e- of about 10-11. In this paper the strategy for improving these measurements with the new KTeV detector is described along with the current status of the experiment. (author)
