Description
R-parity violating supersymmetric models allow lepton number (L) violation. We briefly review the different contributions to neutrino Majorana masses arising from L violating terms in a generic scenario. To explain the observed smallness of neutrino masses, these terms need to be very small. We mention the possible role of an Abelian flavour symmetry to explain their smallness. (author)
