A study of the wall-rock alteration geochemistry in rich uranium deposit No.201

Description

The geochemical characteristics of hydrothermal alteration zone in rich uranium deposit No.201 are systematically described through the study of lithology, altered minerals, petrochemistry trace and rare earth elements, oxygen and sulphur isotopic compositions of the altered granite. Source of the ore-forming solution, environment of the ore formation and material exchange between water and rocks in the process of alteration are discussed. It is suggested that extensively devdeloped hydromicazation and chloritization, high K2O content and lower 18O of altered granite, incrase of Cu, Mo, As, S elements and decrease of σ18O value and rare earth elements in the alteration zone are direct guide for prospecting uranium mineralization
