Pion-nucleon sigma commutator in quark models. Description of the spin-orbit interaction in the nucleus by the methods of quantum chromodynamics
Description
The non-Abelian gauge theory of the strong interaction is used to calculate the pion-nucleon sigma commutator using a phenomenological parameter characterizing the violation of the Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka rule. The nucleon sigma term is estimated in the bag model. The possibility is discussed of calculating the spin-orbit potential of a baryon in the nucleus in the model of unified single-gluon and quark exchange between the baryons in the nucleus
