Individual and collective means of radiation protection - First part

This article deals with different aspects of radiation protection: the different ways of being irradiated: internal and external irradiations, the calculation method of the radiation dose, the importance of taking into account back-scattered radiations (skyshine effect), the various protection means including shields, zoning, containment, and the legislative and regulatory aspects of individual radiation protective gears. A part is dedicated to individual protections such as leaded clothing or leaded face shields. (A.C.)
