Description
Two photoelectric effects can be observed at a metal-electrolyte interface; one of them is caused by excited electrons, the other by excited holes. The ratio of the photoyields for back and front illumination of thin, evaporated gold films on quartz substrates indicates that the scattering processes are similar for both charge carriers. A quantitative analysis of the experimental results by a Monte-Carlo calculation is discussed. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
Additional details
