  • 1. INFM and MURST, Dipartimento di Scienze Fisiche ed Astronomiche dell'Universita di Palermo, via Archirafi 36, 90123 Palermo (Italy)

Description

A method for engineering cat-like states of an ion confined in a bidimensional isotropic Paul-trap is presented. We briefly discuss their importance in connection with the problem of the individuation of a border between quantum and classical worlds
