Description

This section of the rules describe the program that licensees must establish to qualify electrical equipment for their nuclear power units. This equipment is defined as safety-related, non-safety-related, and certain post-accident monitoring equipment. The electrical equipment qualification program must include and be based on the following: temperature and pressure, humidity, chemical effects, radiation, aging, submergence, synergistic effects, and margins (effects of production variations and inaccuracies in test instruments)
