Neutron-activation analysis for uranium with the aid of electrochemical etching of tracks in Mylar detectors
Creators
Description
A method for the electrochemical etching of tracks of fragments in Mylar has been perfected for the purpose of using it in the analysis of uranium in samples. An equation describing the dependence of the diameter of the tracks of fission fragments on the parameters of the etching process has been obtained with the aid of the statistical method of experiment planning. Neutron-activation analysis of a number of samples for uranium with a sensitivity equal to 10-7-10-8 g/g have been performed by electrochemical etching
