Description
Fusion is examined in its current state of development with JET and possible future developments towards a Fusion Power Reactor. The types of radiological protection problems associated with the current and future developments are discussed and the requirements for specific data required for protection in the later stages are identified. The paper is provided to set the scene for the next 21 years of radiological protection in this field, although Fusion Power may not be a major contributor to electricity production until someway into the next century.
