Multilevel relaxation phenomena and population trapping: [Progress report], July 1, 1987-June 30, 1988
Description
This report summarizes the new results obtained in the last eight months from July 1, 1987 and the research work in progress. Our work deals with various aspects of a multilevel quantum system interacting with an intense laser field. We have obtained analytically constants of evolution under various experimental conditions, as well as conditions for complete transfer of the population from the ground state to any one of the excited states. 9 refs
