Problems and potentialities in production of highly pure indium

Problem concerning indium purification including all main stages of it's preparation was critically reviewed. None of the methods permits to obtained the metal with high impurity content up to 0.1-0.01 ppm. and high electric parameters. Indium monochloride turned out to be the main compound for indium preparation. Melting of indium stoichiometric quantities with it's trichloride is the wide-spread method of indium preparation
