Reaction of N-bromosuccinimide with mono-and binuclear zirconium and hafnium chelate cyclopentadienyl complexes

Description

The reaction of CpHf (C5H7O2)2 Cl, CpZr(C5H7O2)2(C15H11O2) and [CpZr(C5H7O2)2]2O chelate cyclopentadienyl complexes with N-bromosuccinimide brings about bromination only in chelate cycles with the retention of all ligands in molecules. CpZr(C15H11O2)2Cl bromination with N-bromosuccinimide proceeds in dibenzoylmethanate rings; chlorine exchange for bromine takes place at the same time. N-bromosuccinimide effect on (C5H7O2)4Zr in equimolar ratios brings about the formation of (C5H7O2)3Zr(C5H6O2Br)
