Counting apparatus for radioactive sample filter papers
Creators
- 1. UKAEA Risley Nuclear Power Development Establishment
Description
A plurality of stations C1-C6 at which radioactive emissions from a filter paper can be counted are angularly disposed about a turntable carrying a radial arm which can be moved to insert and withdraw a filter at the stations and at a loading station and an unloading station. Thus a plurality of counters are served by a single transfer mechanism. Optical means at each station sense the presence of a filter and initiate counting of alpha and beta emissions. (author)
