Description
For a D2 molecule with linear vibrational energy E, it is shown that λ(E) in the WKB d--d fusion rate expression Λ(E)congruent(5.7x108 s-1)[exp-λ(E)] satisfies a useful scaling inequality. It follows from this inequality that Λ(E)approx-gt 2.8x10-20 s-1 for a lattice-caged D2 with vibrational energy E=9.0 eV
