An optimization model for energy supply to rice mills in India

Description
A simple linear programming model for the determination of the least cost energy supply mix for rice mills in India has been developed. Several scenarios involving the variation of both availability and prices of energy resources have been considered. The results for some likely scenarios are presented and briefly discussed. (author)
