Description
The Infeld-Hull recurrence relation for the radial part of the dipole matrix elements in atomic hydrogen is considered. Conditions are investigated under which reduction of this relation to the differential equation of Price and Harmin [Phys. Rev. A 42, 2555 (1990)] is justified
