History and future of high-power laser in high-temperature dense plasma investigations
Creators
Description
The history of development of high-power lasers in high-temperature dense plasma investigations is given. The characteristics of high-power laser active media, that are being chosen for laser fusion investigations, are described. The properties of neodimium, iodine and 2-N2 lasers are compared. The possibilities of solving the enerqy problem are analysed, and the future of fusion investigations is discussed
