On the structure of the Oort cometary cloud
Description
This paper is the first part of the work devoted to the discussion of the direct observations of the Oort cloud by the submilimeter emission of its population of cometary nuclei for the two different cases: the Sun is a single star and the Sun is the component of a wide binary. The distance dependences and the limits for the temperatures of the cometary bodies in the Oort bank have been discussed and the degree of thermalization of the cometary ensemble has been estimated in its inner and external parts. The possibility has been demonstrated for the excitation of collective oscillations in the cometary population of the Oort cloud. The hypothesis is proposed of the origin of the neutral extinction at high galactic latitudes which connects it with the existence of the comet reservioir surrounding the Solar system
