Magnetic field measurements in a coaxial plasma accelerator

Description

Magnetic field measurements performed on a coaxial plasma accelerator are described. The measurements performed on the propagating plasma sheath show that a stationary state is reached. In this state the experimental results are in good agreement with a theoretical model, describing the plasma sheath structure, but do not agree with the predictions of a snow-plough model. (author)
