Description
The kinetics of sorption of selenite to goethite is rapid and is largely dependent on the pH value. Goethite has a high affinity for selenite. Due to the high affinity and stable sorption capacity depending on the pH value, synthetic goethite could be added to the structural barriers of deep geological repositories of spent nuclear fuel.
