Creators

Description
In total, 52 presentations were made during the 12th International Workshop on Vertex Detectors. In this brief summary, a personal choice of some of the highlights will be presented, but the reader is obviously referred to the papers in the rest of this edition for a proper account of the topics discussed here. The material covered will be grouped broadly by technology. Particular emphasis will be given to recent experience which may directly benefit the many ambitious projects currently being planned or under construction around the world. Astrophysics and medical imaging applications also played an important part in this year's workshop and this broad range and interdisciplinary flavour provided the inspiration for the summary talk's title 'from μm to Mpc'
