Giant change of optical absorption of La0.35Pr0.35Ca0.3MnO3 film in the vicinity of metal-insulator transition and the possibility of its use

Description
The spectra of the La0.35Pr0.35Ca0.3MnO3 monocrystal film absorption in the spectral interval of 0.1-1.6 eV within the temperature range of 80-295 K are studied. Sharp increase in the passed light intensity by ∼ 400 times is identified by the metal-insulator transition within the temperature range of 160-180 K. Application of the 0.8 T magnetic field leads to the relative change in the intensity near the transition, reaching 55%. The possibilities of applying the observed effects for creation of magnetocontrolled optical devices are considered

Исследованы спектры поглощения монокристаллической пленки La0.35Pr0.35Ca0.3MnO3 в спектральном интервале 0,1-1,6 эВ в температурном диапазоне 80-295 К. При переходе металл-изолятор в области температур 160-180 К обнаружено резкое увеличение интенсивности прошедшего света примерно в 400 раз. Приложение магнитного поля 0,8 Т приводит к относительному измерению интенсивности вблизи перехода, достигающему 55%.
